UN Series Testing

Radnor is able to carry out an extensive list of tests as described in the UN Manual of Tests (Orange Book), the purpose of which is to provide adequate protection against the risks to life and property inherent in the transportation of hazardous materials.

Our series of tests include:

Test Series 1 Gap Test (Zero Gap), Koenen Test, Internal Ignition (10g bag) and Time Pressure Test.

Test Series 2 Gap Test (50mm Gap), Koenen Test, Internal Ignition (20g bag) and Time Pressure Test.

Test Series 4 Thermal Stability Test, 12 Meter Drop Test.

Test Series 5 Number 8 Gap Test, Deflagration to Detonation Test (DDT), External Bonfire Test.

Test Series 6 Single Package Test, Stack test, External Fire Test.

Test Series 8 Thermal Stability Test for Ammonium Nitrate Emulsion (ANE), ANE Gap Test, Koenen Test, Vented Pipe Test.

Data analysis and a fully configured test report are provided with all trials, suitable for direct submission to Sentencing Authorities where appropriate.
